Acquisition to enable new secure social networking sites for tweens

Wednesday, June 25, 2008 in News

Logica Holdings’ recent acquisition of Dolphin Digital Media points at the possibility of new social networking sites for children that maintains a safe and secure atmosphere through biometric authentication of users.

Logica currently runs a social networking site for young girls called Anna’s Diary which keeps a safe environment through fingerprint scanning. The biometric safety features of the current social site were developed in partnership with Fujitsu, Novell and 123ID and are implemented in the login for access to the site.

With the addition of the Dolphin owned television programming, such as Zoey 101 and Ned’s Declassified, Logica is now opened to the possibility of future social network sites built around these shows that have equal protection for children on the Internet. [end]
