Frost & Sullivan awarded Precise Biometrics with its 2008 Emerging Company of the Year award for its Match-on-Card system.
Precise Biometrics offers a combination of smart card and fingerprint technology that is used to create a secure, accurate Precise Match-on-Card system, which both stores and matches fingerprints on a smart card.
Precise Match-on-Card offers several factors that ensure its security as well as customer satisfaction. The interoperability of the system enables each client to tailor the requirements of readers, smart cards and applications based on their specific budgets and needs.
Precise Biometrics has deployed it system with long list of customers in different verticals, including finance, government, health care, travel and transportation and telecommunications. Some of the company’s more noteworthy client projects involve the Thai government adopting Precise Match-on-Card for its national ID cards and the Portuguese government doing the same, enabling its citizens to access government services via fingerprints.
Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that has carried out new research, resulting in innovations that have or are expected to bring significant contributions to the industry in terms of adoption, change and competitive posture.
