PNC Bank announces contracts with three colleges
PNC Bank, Pittsburgh, has announced three alliance school relationships that emphasize money management and financial education for the college community. The three contracts–one new, two renewals–are at Arcadia University, Glenside, Penn., Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J., and Robert Morris University, Pittsburgh.
Arcadia’s new five-year contract aims to provide the university’s nearly 5,000 students and employees with a variety of banking options, along with PNC-hosted financial education on-campus workshops covering basic banking, credit management and identity protection. PNC customers will also have the opportunity to link the university’s ID card to their PNC accounts, adding ATM and purchasing functionality to the card. In addition, students and employees will benefit from two PNC ATMs and e-Refund through PNC’s Payment Portal, a new on-line tool that administers payments and refunds from the school directly to the student’s account for faster delivery.
Seton Hall’s five-year contract extension adds a new electronic customer service center to the personal banking options already offered to the university’s more than 10,000 students, faculty and staff. The service center, opening this fall, will feature an on-site customer service representative and an advanced function ATM in addition to the ATMs located on the main campus.
The five-year renewal at Robert Morris provides student, faculty and staff access to a variety of personal banking options, along with three PNC ATMs located on the main campus and a co-branded PNC Bank Visa check card, emblazoned with an image of the school’s student center.
Students and employees at all three institutions have access to PNC AutoAlerts via email and/or text messages to help monitor spending and account balances. Students can receive one free incoming wire transfer per monthly statement cycle and one free courtesy overdraft waiver in the first 12 months after account opening. PNC also hosts customized, co-branded Web sites for each school where students can complete account applications, manage their finances and find financial education information.
