Heartland taps Schlage for OneCard system
Heartland Payment Systems’ Campus Solutions division has enhanced its access and security offering by integrating its Campus OneCard System with Schlage AD-Series electronic locks.
The Campus OneCard is a multi-functional campus card that can be used for access control, on- and off-campus purchases, financial aid disbursement and more. Schlage is a brand of Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, provider of security products and services.
The modular design of the new Schlage AD-Series locks lets higher education users customize door openings by credential reader–for example, magnetic stripe, proximity, Mifare, etc.—as well as networking, finish and levers. Campuses can also upgrade readers and network modules to change credentials or go from an offline to networked solution without replacing the lock or even taking it off the door.
The system also are built on an open architecture platform, enabling integration with OneCard software. By combining these products, Heartland provides campus administrators with flexible security solutions they can tailor to their campuses and easily upgrade as their needs and industry technologies evolve.
In addition to this integration, the Campus OneCard Access and Security System helps administrators with centralized and automated security controls, wired and wireless networking options, campus-wide notification, video surveillance and analytics, and more.
