RFID buttons ensure patients get their correct clothes back
Nottingham City Council has launched a service that makes use of RFID buttons to identify clothing belonging to residents in health care programs.
The RFID buttons, provided by Tunstall Group, assist health and social care providers who monitor residents with dementia. The buttons securely store information pertaining to residents, to ensure that all clothing is returned to the correct patient.
The use of RFID buttons also enables health and social care providers to properly handle the risk of infections or other skin-related issues and allergies, a major concern when washing patient’s clothes together.
