Finland tool supplier updates RFID system

Würth Oy, a Finland based supplier of tools and equipment, upgraded its 15-year-old RFID system with the assistance of Vilant Systems, a local Finnish RFID system supplier.
The company’s existing system was comprised of low frequency, proprietary technology and dependable only on specific hardware. The new system, delivered by Vilant Systems, is based on ultra-high frequency Gen2 RFID technology.
Picking boxes are tagged with UPM Raflatac Web inlays and the tags are identified with ThingMagic Astra readers.
