Recognized for its outstanding OneBadge program, Northrop Grumman Corporation received the Information Security Executive Southeast Project of the Year Award sponsored by the Tech Exec Networks. The award is granted to companies that develop achievements in risk management, data asset protection, compliance, privacy and network security.
The company’s OneBadge program deployed smart card technology all over the U.S. to improve and enhance the security of to company facilities, networks and data in an effort to protect against unauthorized access.
The implementation is considered one of the largest deployment of smart card credentials in the country, responsible for integrating a single-standard physical access technology into approximately 350 facilities eliminating the need for more than 48,000 different remote access tokens.
OneBadge paves the way for more secure internet access control and provides the technology necessary in the larger corporations and government sectors. For example Northrop Grumman’s new identity badge is one of the first to be federated across the U.S. Department of Defense and the Federal Public Key Infrastructure Bridge.
