CardLogix’s Smart Toolz Smart Card Development Kit has received a major face-lift. Smart Toolz works to develop smart card applications in areas such as identity, health care, stored value, and loyalty.
The original Smart Toolz feature, CardAppz, which test drives applications, can reveal to programmers-configurable options, including user interface and security, for custom applications.
New features have upgraded the CardLogix product to a service that reduces time-intensive research and documenting.
Some new features include contactless smart card support with software, cards, and a dual mode card reader Enhanced Winplex, as well as a middleware with .NET support. Another addition to the new model is the Smart Toolz Card Configuration Utility (CCU) for configuring and testing a card structure.
The CCU contains an on-card data editor for loading, editing card data, and creating more usability with secondary applications. On-card data security such as encryption and permissions can also be done through the CCU editor.
Smart Toolz provides full support for Windows XP, Server 2003, and Vista, as well as support for all the latest-generation CardLogix cards and file types.
