Indian labs deploying smart cards

The University of Madras has decided to install a contactless smart card system for students and researchers using labs to monitor their movement, according to a report in the Deccan Chronicle.
In one of the cables, leaked by WikiLeaks, sent from U.S. Embassy in India, officials expressed fear about lack of security in Indian laboratories, which could make the facilities easy target for terrorists seeking biological weapons.
