Visa bringing PayWave to Hungary

Visa is planning to launch its contactless PayWave payment service in Hungary this year, according to Realdeal.hu.
When released, the new technology will allow customers to tap and pay at the point of sale, but first the number of contactless terminals in Hungary must hit the 5,000-10,000 range, says Visa’s Hungarian Director Ede Kiss.
MasterCard, Visa’s main competitor in contactless payments, already launched its contactless PayPass service in Hungary in September 2009.
