CHARGE Anywhere has developed an Android app that turns Google’s Nexus S smart phone into an NFC payment terminal. The app enables businesses of any size to process check, ACH and credit card payments, including MasterCard PayPass and Visa Blink, using only a Nexus S handset. The company says it intends to expand the solution to other NFC-enabled handsets as they are released.
“The CHARGE Anywhere payment platform has always stayed ahead of the payment technology curve and by adding NFC payments ensures that our partnering financial institutions, mobile network operators and distributors have the most competitive advantage in delivering secure payment technology,” commented Paul Sabella, President and CEO of CHARGE Anywhere.
The service, unveiled at CTIA this week, costs $9.99 per month and includes back-end payment processing, technology support, and a Web-based management system.
