Passware Inc., a provider of password recovery, decryption, and electronic evidence discovery software, announced a partnership with Guidance Software Inc. to expand encrypted evidence discovery and analysis in the upcoming release of EnCase v7.
Both companies have joined efforts to introduce a solution for electronic evidence discovery, decryption, and investigation.
In phase one of the electronic evidence analysis process, users can export detected files to Passware Kit Forensic for decryption. Once Passware removes the protection from the file, it is then sent back to EnCase for further processing.
Passware’s technology, which supports more than 160 different file types and applications, enables digital investigators to find and analyze encrypted electronic evidence. The encrypted evidence analysis technology will be integrated with EnCase 7 and accessed within EnScript language. It provides encryption analysis of suspected files with further password cracking and decryption using Passware Kit Forensic.
The product is available now, for $795.00 which includes a year of free updates.
