Mobile users more susceptible to phishing, says Gemalto
Mobile users should learn to be more aware of phishing scams, says Sashidhar Thothadri, regional sales manager of South East Asia and India for Gemalto, in mydigitalfc.com.
Thothadri contends that because mobile phones are powered on for long periods of time and their screens are small, the fraud is more difficult to spot.
Problems with phishing could impact the mobile payments market because both companies and consumers are wary of security concerns. Gemalto says the SIM card is the best place for mobile security, and more options can be added to it to enhance the level of security within a mobile device.
