AuthenTec has announced its TCEFC1 TouchChip module with TCS1 TouchChip fingerprint sensor has been chosen to be incorporated into fellow biometric technology developer BI2 Technology’s new multifactor solution.
The new solution from BI2 is called the Mobile Offender Recognition and Identification System (MORIS) and is designed for use by police personnel to assist with identification of wanted criminals, accident victims or other persons of interest in the field.
The biometric system is attached to a smart phone running on either Apple’s iOS operating system or Android operating systems.
In addition to the fingerprint identification capabilities, MORIS also is capable of identifying people by iris and facial recognition.
