Animetrics opens DC office, names software development team leaders

New Hampshire-based Animetrics, a 3D facial recognition and identity management company, is opening a new office in Washington D.C. this month. The office will focus on research and development, strategic partnerships and business development in the federal sector.
This office will house Animetrics’ new software development team that will work on mobile application and cloud technology development. Leading that team will be newly named principal software engineer and senior architect William A. Maniatty and senior scientist and software engineer Gary Zang.
The D.C. office will also be the company’s strategic center for the firm’s federal business endeavors. Federal business development director will be managing that part of the firm’s business, with the goal of expanding the facial recognition market further into the federal sector.
Other key Animetrics partners in the D.C. region include 3M Cogent, Scitor, BAH and CACI.
