Centrify Corporation, a security and compliance solution provider, released Mobile Authentication Services (MAS), a method to deliver Active Directory-based authentication for mobile apps to cloud services. Additionally, it has partnered with Appcelerator, a mobile platform company, for mobile authentication services for titanium studio-powered mobile apps.
Mobile Authentication Services allows for “zero sign-on” Active Directory-based authentication. This extends its ability to conduct Active Directory authentication to mobile devices.
Developers can embed Active Directory authentication through Centrify’s MAS Software Development Kit. Centrify has also introduced a Mobile Technology Partner Program to help developers implement these services.
Additionally, Centrify has partnered with Appcelerator to have the MAS Software Development Kit be a part of Appcelerator’s Titanium mobile application development platform. Under the terms of the partnership, Appcelerator’s 350,000 mobile developers will have access to MAS, which will allow them to integrate apps into an organization’s Active Directory structure for authenticating mobile app users.
