Emerging Threats, an open source and commercial threat and malware intelligence provider, joined OATH, the Initiative for Open AuTHentication. This group works with other standards groups to promote strong authentication.
OATH provides open standards for secure, two-factor authentication, including hardware tokens, smart cards and PKI, among other technologies. OATH’s open standards give users choices in hardware and allows them to replace disparate and proprietary security systems.
Emerging Threats has an Open Source Community Project where over 200,000 active users share free IDS rulesets to fight against malware attacks on different platforms including SNORT and Suricata.
Emerging Threats will be an exhibitor in the OATH Pavilion at the RSA Conference 2013.
