Swiss Post Solutions (SPS), a division of Swiss Post and provider of digitization solutions, introduced the new version 2.0 of its JACOS chip card operating system.
JACOS 2.0 now features innovative flash technology from Infineon and a new dual-interface version that enables contactless payment. The JACOS operating system is developed according to the latest EMVCo, Visa and Mastercard standards; Visa payWave or MasterCard PayPass standard.
Furthermore, Version 2.0 of the JACOS chip card solution, with its embedded dual-interface technology, enables the chip cards with the new operating system to be used as both debit and credit cards. And just like its previous release, version 2.0 meets security standards and supports dynamic data authentication (DDA) as well as SDA and CDA.
This increased flexibility means customers no longer need to decide whether they want to use Visa or MasterCard credit cards, which reduce delivery and production times, and all the while customers do not incur additional costs for the use of the new operating system.
