Ping unveils consumer IAM
Ping Identity announced the availability of a customer identity and access management platform, which now includes an identity and profile directory as well as data sync and governance capabilities added to the Ping Identity Platform. The platform extension results from Ping’s acquisition of UnboundID in August 2016.
Consumer IAM is designed to improve customer engagement, securely managing identities, and collecting preference and profile data to drive personalized interactions. With this new release, businesses can benefit from a range of capabilities spanning context-aware customer authentication, access management, high performance directory services, and unified customer profiles for multi-channel customer engagement.
The Ping Identity Platform is designed to simplify the complexity of identity-centric customer engagement into one solution.
Ping’s consumer IAM products added to the Ping Identity Platform include:
- PingDirectory securely stores and manages customer identities and unified customer profiles that are important to driving multi-channel engagement and improved customer experience. Designed to store rich profile data, PingDirectory supports structured and unstructured data, modern protocols and standards, includes developer-friendly REST APIs
- PingDataSync keeps identity and profile data synchronized across diverse data sources, both on-premise and in the cloud, to ensure identity data and customer profiles are up to date in real-time for consistent multi-channel engagement. The product is used to migrate identity data off costly legacy directory server products so they can be retired, and also to sync production identity data to testing and staging environments while protecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and passwords.
- PingDataGovernance provides convenience to customers and enhances loyalty and trust by giving them the freedom to self-manage their profiles, preferences and privacy choices. PingDataGovernance manages and governs access to sensitive customer data for apps, employees and partners with centralized policy controls and secure REST APIs, as well as features for delegated account administration.
These new products enhance the existing Ping Identity Platform which includes single sign-on, multi factor authentication and secure access as an end-to-end solution, enabling employees, customers and partners to access cloud, mobile and enterprise applications.
