Charlotte, N.C.-based Source Technologies isn’t the only vendor that sees kiosks in the far-term future, but it’s one of just a handful starting to experiment with new technologies and not-so-hot-yet applications like RFID, according to reports.
Source’s redesigned Concourse 5-Series kiosk is ideal for transactional applications such as bill payment, personal remittance, credit applications, and self-service banking.
“This is especially important in showing kiosk ROI as new features such as RFID and biometric fingerprint recognition will undoubtedly become integrated in the future,” said Bill Lynch, vice president of Self-Service Solutions for Source Technologies, in a news statement. “The flexible design of the 5-Series kiosk makes future expansion and maintenance easy for financial institutions.”
