360 Biometrics has announced the release of a new fingerprint identification software solution designed for use in small- to medium-sized companies. The system, called PersonID, also enables administrators to incorporate photographs of a user in addition to any relevant identifying information so that when a match is made following a fingerprint scan, any data including the optional photograph would display.
The PersonID system is also designed for use in a number of applications that would suit its intended demographic of small to mid-sized companies including authorization, transaction, time and attendance tracking, point-of-sale authentication and physical access control.
360 touts its solution as being compatible with a large number of fingerprint readers, supporting many different versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system and is available in three different version that include stand-alone, client-server and Web-based versions.
