Swedish mobile payments provider Accumulate has signed an agreement with Chinese IT provider Potevio to jointly develop and deploy mobile financial and authentication services to the Chinese market.
According to the partners, future projects will include an undisclosed “unique NFC solution” that will be commercially deployed by summer 2012, a solution for secure payment of utility bills, and various mobile payments offerings.
These services will support all major mobile platforms, including Android, Blackberry, iPhone, Java and Windows.
Accumulate will bring its mobile security platform and mobile technology expertise to the partnership, while Potevio will bring resources from its research and development for telecom design and programming, as well as from its manufacturing entities of electronic and communication equipment and solutions in China.
Potevio also boasts several major partners in the Chinese financial market and that will eventually be included in the projects, according to Accumulate.
