American Tactical Imports (ATI), a worldwide importer of firearms, ammunition and tactical equipment, has plans to introduce an RFID tagging system designed to offer remote inventorying for manufacturing and distributing firearms and accessories, according to Guns.com.
The company has partnered with AdvanTech RFID, who specializes in tracking and inventory systems, and who is also currently working with Department of Defense contractors to supply tags for its supplies including apparel and equipment.
The RFID software tracks and monitor all firearms and accessories from the manufacturer to the end user, records the chain of custody automatically all the while providing additional layers of security.
End-users will still have their privacy maintained while only the records required by law are safely and securely tracked during the buying and selling processes.
