Attack forces Evernote to roll out two-factor authentication

A recent hack on Evernote, a web and mobile note-taking application, has prompted the company to roll out new security measures months ahead of schedule.
As reported on PCMag.com, Evernote had to reset its 50 million users’ passwords, and it then decided to push on with a release of optional two-factor authentication.
The hackers managed to access Evernote’s registry of usernames, passwords and e-mail addresses. Evernote reported user’s content hadn’t been changed or lost.
Evernote has not elaborated on its plans for two-factor authentication and hasn’t disclosed what form factors it will require.
