Avery Dennison RFID has launched four new RFID inlays, each designed with a specific industry application in mind. The new UHF inlays are EPC Class 1 Gen 2 and ISO-180006-C-compliant and are manufactured using the company’s proprietary high speed strap attach technology.
The new designs include:
The AD-224, with extra memory to allow storage of applications data for product life cycle verification such as e-pedigree or brand authentication applications.
The AD-824, with a special antenna design that enables item level RFID tagging for dense tag environments found in applications such as jewelry and document tagging.
The AD-631, which is orientation insensitive, so it can be read in any direction, improving tag visibility in randomly oriented asset and pallet tracking applications.
The AD-840, with a more advanced read range performance and a rugged large-area antenna, for rough industrial automated handling processes such as baggage handling.
“These new inlays are part of Avery Dennison’s focus on designing innovative inlays to meet new and emerging manufacturing, retail and item-level RFID application needs.” said Robert Cornick, vice president and general manager, Avery Dennison.
