Axcess equips IDs with HID’s iCLASS technology

Wireless ID provider Axcess International has announced the successful integration of HID Global’s iCLASS 13.56 MHz contactless smart card technology into its Axcess Dot Wireless ID product.
According to Axcess, Dot Wireless IDs enable multiple automated security capabilities in and around a facility such as hands-free perimeter access, automated ID checks, visitor and contractor tracking, asset management and emergency evacuation accounting.
HID’s iCLASS 13.56 MHz read/write contactless smart card technology provides supports multiple applications such as biometric authentication, cashless payment and PC log-on security. iCLASS readers also support the U.S. Federal Government’s HSPD-12 directive for secure credentialing.
The new product will be on display in the HID Global booth (#601) at the annual American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) tradeshow in Dallas, TX, October 12-14th.
