ROUND ROCK, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Feb. 16, 2004–Biometric Access Corporation (BAC), a leading provider of biometric identity verification solutions, today announced its SecureTouch(R) solution has been selected for a state agency ID program pilot.
BAC will supply to the state its SecureTouch biometric devices as part of a total system solution developed by a vendor partner. Other vendors have also been selected to participate in the pilot, which will run through Dec. 2004. The state plans to select one of the piloted solutions for a full implementation beginning in 2005.
“We commend the state for developing such an innovative ID program and we are pleased to take part in its pilot,” said BAC President and CEO Ron Smith. “BAC’s biometric technology has been proven in multiple industries and environments, and we anticipate great success with this program.”
