Black Box, a developer of data and voice infrastructure systems, has announced it will be demonstrating its new biometric cabinet access control system at the RSA Conference.
The system, called Intelli-Pass Biometric Access Control for Cabinets, is a complete software controlled physical access control system utilizing fingerprints with a sensor that also senses blood flow reducing the potential for fraud.
Black Box expects its solution to be a good fit for a number of industries including military, government, educational, financial and health care and offers a number of features beyond the biometric security such as electronic locks, battery back-up in case of power failure and LED status lights on the front of the cabinet.
Additionally, the company offers real-time remote monitoring and control of the cabinets as well as control of all system enrollment and management.
