Boardman develops biometric bike

Boardman Bikes, a developer of bicycles, has released a concept developed by Olympian Chris Boardman that is being referred ot as an intelligent cycle, according to a Slash Gear article. One of the major aspects fo the bike is that it has embedded fingerprint readers that act as a lock for the bike when an unauthorized rider is attempting to use it. Additional features include a burned calorie counter, integrated media player, puncture resistant tires, spokeless wheels, and a solar powered motor to help with hills. Despite all the technologies being readily available, Boardman doesn’t expect his concept to become a reality for another 20 years.
