Boots Ireland, an international pharmacy-led health and beauty group, has introduced contactless payments options at all its stores across the Republic of Ireland, according to Business and Leadership.
In conjunction with Streamline and Visa Europe, Boots will enable customers to pay for items totaling less than €15 (~ $20) by simply touching the point-of-sale (POS) terminal with their contactless Visa card.
Using this method, customers are no longer required to provide a signature or enter their PIN. Contactless technology offers quick, easy payments that improve the shopper experience by reducing transaction and queuing times.
