Burger King is now accepting concession and ez-link card payments in Singapore, making it the first western burger chain to adopt the Singapore Standard for Contactless ePurse Applications (CEPAS) since its introduction in December 2008.
PaymentLink, exclusive partner of EZ-Link for payment and loyalty services on the concession and ez-link cards, has already installed 178 contactless point-of-sale terminals in 43 restaurants islandwide.
The CEPAS-compliant concession and ez-link cards can store a value of up to $500, and can be used for public transit payment, retail, private transportation, entertainment, food and beverage services, and more.
In conjunction with the launch, PaymentLink will be running a “5x EzRewards Points” promotion to reward concession and ez-link cardholders registered under its loyalty programme, EzRewards. From now till 28 February 2011, members will be awarded 500 EzRewards points for every dollar spent at Burger King instead of the usual 100 EzRewards points for each dollar.
Additionally, BK customers who pay for their orders using their concession or ez-link card will receive 50 cents off a Hershey’s Sundae Pie.
