Gemalto, IBM to offer enhanced security platform for e-banking
Gemalto has announced a partnership with IBM that will bolster Gemalto’s Ezio eBanking security platform.
Following the new partnership with IBM, Gemalto’s Ezio eBanking Server platform has been further updated to support a wider range of end-user solutions. The platform has been tested and confirmed to work with more than 30 authentication devices from 20 different vendors, ranging from physical tokens to mobile applications.
Available worldwide directly from Gemalto or through IBM Security Services, the Ezio eBanking Server is the first of its kind to be compliant with both the leading proprietary technologies and the industry’s most popular open standards. Ezio eBanking supports all types of two-factor authentication tokens, including OTP, PKI, OATH and software solutions.
For banks, the platform’s interoperability across authentication infrastructures offers new opportunities in customer segmentation, multi-channel strategy, as well as provides wider choice of form-factors and use-cases. The Ezio eBanking Server comes in two versions: an off-the-shelf appliance and a software toolkit, which together will offer increased flexibility to a bank’s existing back-end authentication architecture.
IBM Security Services offers end-to-end risk management solutions that protect against threats while reducing the costs and complexity of security.
