Premier Purchasing Partners, one of the nation’s largest group purchasing organizations, has awarded campus card provider CBORD its third consecutive supplier contract. That means the Ithaca, N.Y.-based company will continue to provide food service management systems, transaction-processing systems and security access systems to Premier members and affiliates until December 2011.
Besides campus cards for universities, CBORD also provides integrated solutions for health care, college and university food services. The Premier agreement allows the purchasing group to offer special pricing on value-added software packages to its health care and college and university members and affiliates, and to continue to improve the efficiencies of its food service operations and security access systems.
Premier serves more than 2,000 U.S. hospitals and 53,000-plus other health care sites. Owned by not-for-profit hospitals, in addition to its health care purchasing networks, Premier also serves as a repository of hospital clinical and financial information.
