Dress for Success South Central PA, a charity organization that provides professional attire and career development tools for disadvantaged women, has announced its plan to implement an RFID inventory management system in its three stores, mobile unit and warehouse.
Using retail RFID projects as a model, Dress For Success has selected a solution that combines Motorola’s MC9090-G RFID hand held readers and AN series RFID antennas, AD-224 RFID tags from Avery Dennison and Tracker Mobile software solution from Concept2.
The project calls for all donated and purchased clothing to be tagged upon arrival at Dress for Success’s stores and warehouses, where they are scanned, organized, and shipped out to clients. With improved visibility and organization of their inventory, Dress for Success expects to significantly expedite the donation delivery process, thereby creating room for more clients.
The RFID solution is expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2009.
