Chicago Transit, I-GO to launch joint smart card

The Chicago Transit Authority has agreed to implement a joint transit card with I-GO, the non-profit car rental agency that provides cars for short trips around the city. When effective, the same contactless card used to ride the city’s transit system will now be able to operate the I-GO cars, giving users of both systems one less card to carry.
“This smart card will make it even easier to make the transition from one mode of transportation to another,” CTA President Ron Huberman said.
