CIM USA has launched its new high-speed MultiEncoder, a device capable of encoding 3,000 smart cards per hour.
A typical EMV chip profile can take up to 30 seconds to encode on a commonly used device. The MultiEncoder will execute and complete the encoding process in approximately two seconds, according to CIM.
The MultiEncoder can be configured with up to 16 independent chip stations, with each station handling contact or contactless encoding. Data processing power is provided by multiple embedded PCs, an automation PC and a main controller unit with a GUI. The smart card application interface is based on XML RPC technology.
The MultiEncoder is available as a self contained stand-alone unit or as a Premium Series integrated module.
