Cognitec demos new face recognition system

Cognitec Systems, developers of biometric solutions, have presented its newest line of products at the Biometrics 2010 conference in London, according to a Source Security article.
Among the new offerings they are showcasing include a new version of their FaceVACS-VideoScan software, new facial recognition matching technology and image capturing and quality assessment for e-passport images.
The new version of FaceVacs-VideoScan includes new capabilities such as identification via multiple cameras in real time.
The new match technology is designed for use with law enforcement as it is capable of matching photo and surveillance images against a mug shot database. The new technology for e-passport images features real-time feedback for the subject of the photograph and offers advanced camera controls.
