Comtech provides supply for U.S. Army’s move to RFID

Comtech Telecommunications announced that is has received orders totaling $47.4 million under its movement tracking system contract with the U.S. Army. The orders provide supply to support the Army’s move towards full adoption of the RFID ISO 18000-7 standard.
This includes Comtech’s MT-2012 transceiver, which features the Savi Technology’s ISO-compliant Echo Point RFID Reader integrated with an encrypted GPS module.
The multiple services and equipment orders include supply of satellite network operations management, program management, installation, training, engineering and technical support services, as well as the supply of the aforementioned MT-2012 satellite transceivers, control station components, vehicle installation kits, miscellaneous equipment items, and software licenses.
