The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has awarded Coveros Inc., a developer of secure agile software, a research contract to create new approaches for actively authenticating computer system users.
The goal of the project is to enable real-time detection of unauthorized use of computer accounts. These new systems will help combat attacks on computer systems.
Coveros will develop approaches for identification validation by distinguishing between normal and abnormal account use. It will conduct its research in its recently established Coveros Labs division.
Coveros says this work will compliment and leverage another research project it did for DARPA on an undisclosed research program.
