Databac has announced that it will display its new environmentally friendly ID solutions at IFSEC 2011 in Birmingham, UK.
Databac, a provider of contactless, biometric and rewritable card technologies, says it will hand out samples its new rewritable smart cards, which are biodegradable and made of recycled plastic. The company will demonstrate the cards with Fargo’s latest DTC1000 card printer, which can print, erase and reprint cards up to 400 times. According to Databac, this system can offer significant savings in plastic card usage.
The stand will also feature the first UK public showing of Data Management’s TAB-Expiring Visitor Pass, a new range of self-expiring visitor RFID labels designed to speed up visitor registration while eliminating waste.
Launched in the UK at last year’s IFSEC, Databac will be showing the latest version of the Saiwall Secure biometric terminal for access control. The high-tech palm vein reader, developed by Spanish manufacturer Saima Sistemas using Fujitsu technology, now features an integrated RFID reader. Using dual-technology verification, the system checks the palm vein pattern against the template held on the contactless card, for fraud-proof secure access to sensitive areas.
Databac’s full range of contactless products will also be on display, including cards, wristbands, discs and event tags.
