Datacard Group, a secure ID and card personalization solution provider, is highlighting its MJ7500 card personalization system and MX6000 card issuance system with a retransfer color printing module at PRINT 09, a trade show geared to all aspects of the printing industry. The Chicago show, which began last week, runs through Sept. 16.
The MJ7500 system is designed for high-volume, low cost-per-card applications and personalizes unembossed cards with UV-curable drop-on-demand inkjet printing. The MX6000 system configured with the Artista VHD module handles individually personalized cards using advanced inline retransfer printing technology which allows issuers to minimize the number of pre-printed cards on hand, thus lowering overhead, while still allowing customer customization.
“Emerging trends like flat financial cards and personalized gift cards are creating new opportunities in the card industry,” said Fred Ketcho, regional vice president of Americas sales and service for Datacard Group.
Visitors can see live demonstrations at Datacard’s booth, number 8340, in the North Hall of McCormick Place.
