Delfigo Security, a developer of keystroke and keyboard biometric systems, has announced they have developed a version of their program that can be utilized on iPhones and eventually other mobile devices as well to allow for more secure sensitive transactions via mobile technology such as mobile banking, according to an iStock Analyst article.
Delifgo’s technology, unlike many other biometric modes, is intended to work in conjunction with passwords wherein a user’s password has to match the one stored in the database, but so does the pressure and rhythm of their typing it.
Obviously as there is a massive difference between the keyboards being utilized, a user’s profile between a standard computer and their mobile device will be vastly different. As well it will likely be very different from mobile device to mobile device as there is no standard in place at all for keypads and keyboards on mobile devices. Further traits of the technology include its background running wherein the biometric authentication is done automatically where applicable and does not require the launching of a special application.
