The Delhi Metro is offering riders a convenient new way to carry their smart cards, according to The Economic Times.
On Tuesday, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) began issuing passengers smart cards that double as key chains. The new cards function the same as traditional smart cards, but are rounded at the corners and much smaller, measuring approximately 2 x 1 inches.
DMRC has placed an initial order of 50,000 of the keychains, with more to follow based on demand. Riders can pick up the new cards at customer care centers at all Metro stations.
As with the regular smart cards, there is a 10% discount on fares.
