Authentication and encryption services provider DigiCert Inc. has released a public beta of its new ClickID trust seal program. The program aims to increase consumer confidence with strong identity verification through an identifiable site seal.
Customers can use the standard ClickID seal or upgrade to ClickID Premium with Photo Verification. The latter service includes an in-person validation, where a ClickID representative visits and verifies the site.
The site verification seal then shows pictures from this site visit to prove to online consumers that it did occur, a feature that DigiCert hopes will add an extra layer of confidence to a consumer’s transactional experience.
ClickID trust seals come in 1-, 2- or 3-year licenses and can be bundled with DigiCert SSL certificates. Prices start at $79 a year.
