Dikshant Global School plans to deploy an electronic ID badge system to compliment its already digital-based curriculum and smart classrooms.
The international school, located in India, will provide all students with an electronic ID smart card which will be initially used for registering attendance and opening lockers.
Dikshant prides itself in incorporating technology in its curriculum. Its smart classrooms use electronic displays instead of blackboards to provide Internet access that allow video and connecting with other classrooms around the world.
The system is set to launch in April of 2010, at which point students will also be provided with a laptop at their desk so that they may complete assignments and communicate with experts in the field.
