A Domino’s pizza franchise in Bolton, England has introduced its own branded contactless payment system using sQuidcard’s e-money technology. The store’s owner, Paul Samson, believes the inclusion of the contactless payment card will play a key role in the ongoing profitability of his take-out restaurant.
“We have always kept a very close eye on our market, looking at sustainable ways to improve our service offering,” says Samson. “When the Bolton Council adopted the sQuid eMoney service as part of its Bolton Smart card, I saw that this was a very obvious solution for us.”
The Bolton franchise is the first in the Domino’s chain in the UK to adopt the sQuid technology, but Adam Smith, an sQuidcard spokesperson, said he is certain others in the franchise organization will follow suit. “sQuid is particularly suited for the thousands of businesses providing low-value cash items,” he said.
Domino’s customers can register their cards online and then view their transactions, top-up their card and receive special deals by email. They can also top-up their card at any of the retail locations accepting sQuid.
