Enable IPC issued an update on a $4.5 million RFID agreement and gave mention of a $149,935 National Science Foundation Grant to further expand applications for ultra-capacitor technologies.
Previously announced, Enable IPC reached a three-year $4.5 million agreement with a manufacturer of RFID tags and readers, for livestock applications, to provide ultra-capacitor-based products to improve the range in which the tags can be read. The initial product development phase has been completed and the evaluation and testing phase is currently underway.
In addition, Enable IPC announced that its subsidiary, SolRayo, Inc., had been awarded a $149,935 Small Business Technology Transfer Research Grant from the National Science Foundation to conduct research into applying its technology into battery applications.
This research will apply SolRayo nanoparticle solutions to battery technologies to study and examine how battery life and battery temperature tolerances may be expanded using these nanoparticle solutions.
