Fingerprint Cards releases new sensor for mobile devices

Fingerprint Cards has announced it has developed a new miniature and power-effective fingerprint sensing device designed for use with mobile phones.
The device, called FPC1080A is also purported to be easily installed into other devices such as laptops, smart cards and USB keys. In addition to its small footprint and low power consumption, Fingerprint Cards officials also tout the new technology’s ability to utilize finger navigation and a 508 DPI resolution.
