Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada improves visibility abroad

PiiComm has been selected by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) Canada to provide an RFID-based asset tracking solution to monitor various assets stored at locations in over 170 missions worldwide.
The contract includes RFID enabled handheld mobile computers from Motorola and customized software developed by PiiComm which has been certified for use on the SIGNET network by DFAIT.
DFAIT agents will carry these RFID devices during their workday, adding, verifying and modifying the tracked data as appropriate allowing them to upload and download asset data to SAP via the SIGNET worldwide corporate data network.
The PiiComm solution will ensure that capital and physical assets are tracked in real-time and support improved accuracy and visibility of those assets.
