The Office of the County Clerk in Fort Bend County, Texas has selected FileTrail Inc. for its RFID file tracking system – automating the check-in and check-out process of case files.
The RFID solution consists of portable SmartMobile handheld trackers and desktop SmartPads. Similar to using a metal detector, the RFID SmartMobile allow employees to zero-in on specific location of the file by beeping faster as they get closer.
The RFID SmartPads are placed on the desks of the court employees who check-in and check-out files. The SmartPads also support the setup to function as self-service check-out stations.
Prior to adopting the FileTrail solution, Fort Bend’s manual processes meant employees spent a great deal of time tracking and retrieving case files. The FileTrail system now in place not only solves the problem of locating misplaced files, it also streamlines and simplifies the process.
